Tia Mastromatto, MA
Tia Mastromatto is a Research Associate at TransAnalytics who joined the company in 2013 as a research assistant, data analyst, and technical writer. She has had primary responsibility for several projects extracting, processing, and analyzing data from FARS, SHRP2, and state DOTs using SAS and R statistical computing. These projects include the comprehensive NHTSA Data Books that support State and Regional highway safety planning; and, analyses of the effects of driver experience on driving performance, and vulnerable road user safety.
In addition, Ms. Mastromatto has authored multiple syntheses of literature for NHTSA and FMCSA on young drivers crash risk, graduated driver licensing, driver education, physical fitness and driver performance, mild cognitive impairment and driving performance, older driver self-regulation and exposure, commercial driver training, performance-based testing of driving skills and capabilities, and the effect of various medical conditions on driving.
Ms. Mastromatto received her B.A. in 2006 and her M.A. in 2012 from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Her professional certifications include Data Science Specialization from John Hopkins University and CITI Certification for Human Subjects Protection.
